Class rules
Having a large number of rules can sometimes be intimidating and daunting for young children. For this reason I have decided to keep the classroom rules simple enough to remember, yet detailed enough that they should address just about any disruption the classroom may experience. These rules are put in place to help provide an optimal learning environment for every student, because each student deserves to be taught in an environment conducive to learning. The rules are as follows..
- Listen and Follow Directions.
- Raise Your Hand Before Speaking or Leaving Your Seat
- Respect Your Classmates and Your Teacher
- Keep Your Hands, Feet, and Objects To Yourself
behavior plan
The Behavior plan is simple, it is to avoid disruptions before they even start through rigorous curriculum, inquiry based exploration of the state standards, and mutual respect between the students and teacher. There will be exceptions to this plan, which is why there are four consequences which will be utilized in order. Students found in violation of school/class rules will be issued a warning on the first offense. The second offense will result in preferred seating, counselor referral, or a phone call to the parent. A third offense will result in a phone call and or Email to the parent explaining the progression of steps taken in reference to the behavior, and possible detention may be issued. The fourth offense will result in an office referral which will then be taken care of by the administration. This should be a very rare occasion, but will not be neglected in the event of a chronic misbehavior.
