Meet Mr. Williams

My name is Mark Williams and I am very excited to have the opportunity to teach here at PCIS! I am happily married (for nearly 10 years) to my wife, Angela Williams, who is a 1st Grade teacher at Lakewood Primary School. We have two amazing boys - Cole Bradley (5 years old) and Eli Daniel (almost 4 years old). I obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Middle Grades Education with a concentration in Math and Science from Columbus State University and am happy to be teaching 6th Grade Earth and Space Science. This is a subject that I am very passionate about, and I hope to bring that same enthusiasm to my students. I have had the opportunity to serve our country in the United States Army with a tour of duty in Iraq, and have brought some of my military discipline with me into the classroom. It is my intention to teach students through an inquiry based teaching model with the use of technology and our new state-of-the-art STEM lab. I realize that this grade level can bring about change and transition for students and parents, however with the classroom policies and procedures that I plan to have in place, this is sure to be an enjoyable school year filled with learning and growth for each student! Please feel free to contact me (e-mail is usually the best way) with any questions or concerns you may have throughout the school year. I am excited to embark on this learning journey with you and your child!
